nope, you have to pay 100 gil, and its for a limited time, yes there is a time limit, unlike the rest of the FF's this has either a 2 or 3 minute ride, and you can run very fast, by pressing square, or triangle, but that is limited to, as the chocobo gets tired a bit, and you only have 3 limits on running fast.

lol i have the collecters edition of the game but anyway no i didn't pass it yet i don't play that much but usually I'm busy so yea....
