So...its getting near that time a year again when summer ends and school begins. I start my freshman year on August 22. When do your schools start?

Yay, school starts monday! I am excited because I finally made it into the higher band. I am now a member of the Wind Ensemble!! It is the highest level band in my school, the elite band if you will.

Well, we only have two bands, but you do have to try out for it. It's Jazz band, our other band is concert band. I made it to concert band. I actually beated two other people who were three and four years ahead of me. I was so happy

We got fiver bands now. A symphonic(Concert), Jazz 1 and Jazz 2(Jazz 1 is the better one, the elite one, Jazz 2 is for all those that weren't good enough for Jazz 1, so it is much larger), a Beginner Band(for all of those that are just starting on a instrument), and then the Wind Ensemble, which is the most elite band in the school. I got in on skill, cause I play Bassoon. You have to try out for any instrument, and I usually play Tuba in Symphonic, but I picked up a Bassoon halfway though last year and started learning it on my own, which was so hard.
I am currently the only Bassoon Player in my school, and my band conductor is impressed by me cause I switched from Tuba, which i've played for 6 years, to Bassoon and played for half a year and was good enough to make it into Wind Ensemble. He told me I was the Best Tuba Player the school ever had, and that I am on the way to be the best Bassoon player the school had, but I got a lot of work, this is my senior year, and the Kid that left had played Bassoon for nearly 10 years...
Music is my life though, so I'll accomplish all I can.
