Nice. I am a Tenor Saxaphone, which as of now, I am the only one. After I kicked on of their butts in tryouts, one quit, and the other was a senior last year so he aint there no more. Music may be more important to me if it was an instrument I liked more. We picked our instruments in 5th grade and now I'm in 10nth, so I've grown tiered of it. I wish I picked the guitar or piano, but can't afford to get them.

That's cool, I have many friends that Play tenor sax. The Bassoon player before me was amazing. He was quite possibly the greatest musician the school has ever seen. I may become a better Bassoon player, but he will forever be a better musician. He has accomplished a feat even my conductor hasn't done.
He can play every single instrument in the band, From the Flute, all the way to Tuba.
And your instrument was better than mine, I played Tuba for six years. Imagine nothing but Oompa parts for six years... The first time I got melody was last year when I played the melody for Tales from the Crypt! I loved it, it was so much fun!!!

Normally that is what we have, although because of being in jazz band, and being a sax, I did get melody frequently in that part of band.... although normally it was solos which I hated cause I got stage fright and get really nervous cause he makes us stand up in front of everyone.

Haha I had to stand up with my Tuba! That was so much fun to stand and play with a big Double B flat Tuba!!
I was a little insecure when I first started playing Tuba, I usually didn't play in front of people at all, but With the help of Mr. Bradley I ain't got no problem playing parts alone anymore. I mean, who cares if I mess up, no one but me really.
I mean, I am the only real person that knows how much practice I put into it, so why not. I am used to playing in front of a crowd though, we always tested in front of the class that way we wouldn't be nervous in front of the audience, it is a great teaching strategy.
Mr. Bradley has been my band director for my 6 years of Tuba and for my last year of school as well. He is great!
